If you want to see it's issues on both sides or donors tend to control most politicians I agree. When you say both sides are literally the same when Republicans want Jim Crow era America and before back. That's complete bullshyt.
Republicans:
-Think racism doesn't exist unless its racism against white men
-Want to ban all DEI programs
-Want to take slavery education out of school
-Want to raise retirement age
-Self admitted pro corperation and anti-worker
-Raise taxes on middle class in exchange for tax cuts for big business
-Against legalizing Marijuana

Democrats:
-Pro LBGT
-Haven't given all black people 1 million dollars and 100 acres of land

You probably ignored my post already, but why you tryna convince black men to not vote, knowing the outcome?

This time around, ain't no point in letting trump win.

Only a white boy wouldn't think of this type of shyt.
i’m not trying to dissuade brehs and brehettes from voting. in fact, i will even concede that there are obviously a number of material advantages to voting for democrats instead of republicans.

that doesn’t take away from the premise of my original point, which is that neither party works to upset, in any qualitative fashion, the foundational structure of our society - which has been in place, and built upon, since the founding of this nation.

i am, fundamentally, a socialist.

there will always be regional differences in policy due to local concentrations in power. the echoes of jim crow observed in recent policy down south would be absent in northern regions.

though, let’s not act as if blue strongholds like new york didn’t implement ‘stop and frisk,’ or that northern cities aren’t rife with inequities along the color line.

back to my original point, from a national and and international standpoint, both parties - including the republican faction under trump - serve the same interests.

So Rudy Giuliani is a Democrat? :ohhh:

This is a shytty take. Dems are far from perfect but republicans are trying their best to turn the country into a hellscape.
Yes but both sides in theory should be about both political parties only agenda being themselves. Neither party truly has our interest.

Unfortunately you have a bunch of posters who aren’t truthful & lump anybody not rocking all blue into the MAGA/Republic lol

This is one of the reasons political convos on here don’t go far. Let’s do a better job of shytting on all posters who are overly Dem/Repub/MAGA.

None of this disputes what I said, though. Republicans traffic in the language of white supremacy; democrats engage in hollow outreach to the marginalized. both parties do nothing to disturb the fundamentally illiberal makeup of our world, one in which people who aren’t white and wealthy have any true democratic input.

i already said that trump has ramped up the appeals to white grievance. i still don’t believe, even surveying the policies that emerged from his first term, he was a marked departure from what we witnessed of reagan, hwb, and gwb.

you need only review those presidencies to see.

i am not excusing the republicans, breh. i am trying to educate yall on the con both “parties” have been running.

that’s all.

depends on the definition of socialism we are operating from.

by “socialist,” i mean that i believe im a world in which every man and woman is free from want of basic necessity - education, shelter, health. a world in which the exploitation of labor ends and the fulfillment of human potential begins. a world where divisions based on class, race, religion are erased.

if you don’t want to live in a world like that, i can only say that I’m sorry you feel that way.

this country is effectively ruled by one party split into two factions, a corporate duopoly divided by tactical disagreements on how to achieve the same end - consolidating and preserving control of the world’s labor and resources in the hands of white elites.

republicans use appeals to white resentment as their means of gaining power; democrats use performative gestures of a progressive nature as theirs. Neither party works in the interest of empowering the electorate - the common folk in the street - and both do what they can to prevent citizens from having actual input on the formation of policy and the socioeconomic structure of our world.
