They need 60 votes in the Senate to pass the spending bill. They can’t do it without at least 7 votes from Democrats.

Schumer and fetterman have declared their support for the bill, with rand paul the only republican voting no, it means they need 6 more democrats to vote in support

chris c00ns,Gillibrand,Klobuchar and Durbin are the only other dems that could be a possible yes. Schumer's bytch ass doesn't have the vote, thankfully

I have no idea what you are quoting me with that for. Are you American? If so, please call the Democratic switchboard (202) 224-3121.

If not, well....

It is a tough spot but he has to play hardball like Republicans do. Make them not have the votes. If the mothafukka would listen to the progressives in his party, he could tell America exactly why he is NOT voting for the CR. You have idiot Republicans cheering on cuts that WILL eventually hurt them one way or another. If the government shuts down and cuts are being made, thats when its even harder for regular people to ignore what is going on.

Will people be mad? Yes. Will this be some salve to keep from burning too hot come midterms? fukk no. Either Donald Trump is a threat to the USA or he isn't. Voting FOR this undermines the truthtelling they did before he was elected.

Playing hardball means devastating a loyal voting block to prove what?

This is the lesser of two evils, I understand why Schumer is doing this. Republicans are in a position that even if they don't get this CR passed, there would be CATASTROPHIC damage done by Musk during a shutdown.

I dont see how this is a win for both siders.

Also, Cuck Schumer should let Republicans burn everything down. Fighting is futile. Maximum pain must be inflicted on the American people for them to understand that their ignorance has consequences. Unfortunately innocent people would be harmed by this.

Call a switchboard if your politicians are spineless and yellow-bellied

Can't think of the last time #BothSides took an L. Trump winning was an L,but Kamala winning without offering tangibles and comprehensive black agenda would've also been an L. With the loss everything seems to be going according to plan. We have yet to be gaffled and put back into slavery. Crackdown on the illegal immigrants. There's talks of another stimmie. So so far things havent gone as bad as we were told by Democrats. But it's only been 2 months so we will see.

On the flip side Democrats are in turmoil, rethinking everything they've ever done wrong, rethinking how they lost support. The hope is eventually their dumbasses realize the black man has always been the key. They won't win another election until they win us back over somehow, mark my words. No offense to our women in the political fray. You've done the best you could, but have been used and abused along the way. Allow Daddy to come in and regulate:respect:

So far the #WinWin situation that was predicted, couldn't be going any better.
Smooth brain criminal. Anybody still claiming both sides months in to this chaos is beyond redemption. Holy shyt you stupid.

I don’t see what option they had. Trump and Elon are trying to shut down entire departments of the government. We just got a federal judge to block the mass layoffs of federal employees. How could they realistically let the government shut down? It would play into Trumps hand.
This, and the dude who wrote P2025 is the head of the OMB. Trump and Elon would literally be allowed to run amok during a shutdown.

Edit: How did I read what the bill includes for 30 seconds and still come away more educated than the kats yelling "bothsides" in this thread:skip:?

:snoop:
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) referred to Republicans as “b*stards” on live television before quickly apologizing during a heated discussion on MSNBC over his decision to vote in favor of the GOP’s stopgap funding plan to avert a federal shutdown.

Schumer has faced intense pushback on the left this week, with progressives accusing him of capitulating to Republicans — who hold slim majorities in the Senate and House — on a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through September.

“It’s much, much better not to be in the middle of a shutdown, which could divert people from the No. 1 issue we have against these b*stards — sorry, these people — which is not only all these cuts, but they’re ruining democracy,” Schumer said Thursday on MSNBC’s “All In.”
President Trump congratulated the Democratic leader Friday, saying he did “the right thing.”

“Took ‘guts’ and courage!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
