Man, I tried the straight razor about a month ago and shyt left me like

:mjlol: nikka how? I've been shaving with straight razors for 7 years. Never knicked myself. AoS Shaving oil as a base, with a quality shave soap should have that blade gliding. Also, did you have your blade properly honed? It should be so effortless to the point the weight of the blade is enough to cut your hair.

It was my 1st time lol you been at it for 7 years but yeah blade was honed properly, used oil, maybe my technique wasn't right

Anybody tried those Bevel safety razors?

Check my post above yours. I like it. You still have to be careful or you'll cut your shyt up and like the straight edge, you need to let the weight of it do most of the work. But definitely have more room for error with the bevel than the straight. Either way, both were great for me to get a close shave and not much bump issues.
