Android is more for functionality but there's too many chefs in the kitchen via different manufacturers for different parts and software for the same phone.
I got the 13ProMax and noticed it's generally smoother. Not once did I notice a short lag if I opened too many things at once.
Maybe that's just cuz it's new. But I think it's cuz Apple makes most of the hardware and software so it's more smoother and integrated.
