Exactly. Whatever beef he may still have with RZA settling for these cheap producers is a waste of bars. Can't help but think there's still part of that arrogance ("I can shine on my own and don't need no established producer") and possibly even some laziness of not keeping his ears open to all the dope work that is out there. You can go on YT and Bandcamp and find new great beattapes any day. Or maybe he's just difficult to work with or really has subpar music tastes lol
Yeah these generic ass beats are so far beneath him

It’s actually ironic that he complained as much as he has about RZA’s beats and yet most of these beats he’s picked for The Wild and FILA are worse than RZA’s recent beats. These beats Raekwon spitting over sound paper thin and cheap as fukk

And what’s aggravating is he still spitting sharp

It almost feels like he’s trolling with this shyt lol

Rae def seems to chince on mastering and legit mixing like he gets mp3s from an email and just loads em

In fact most ug this way. A good mix would help most of them sound better but unless rae is working with industry people, his stuff sounds lil shoddy

1 thing I have to say

Raekwon is a an elite emcee

But his choice in beats post Cuban Linx Pt.1 is by far among the WOAT and that is why I’m just now listening to some of these albums now

Raekwon should be working with cats like Muggs, like how GZA made that Grandmasters album with him

Or dudes like 4th Disciple or True Master

Rae definitely got off track after OB4CL, with the beats.

He almost needs to be paired with an absolute GOAT or legend behind the boards, to make good sh*t. Which is why I think "Sneakers" was dope on the second album. And "Surgical Gloves" on OB4CL2 (Pete Rock and ALC). If he can get in with a legend, he makes dope sh*t. An ALC-produced album is what I've wanted forever for Chef.

Yeah he desperately needs a great producer to work with and literally walk him through the whole album process

He’s the perfect example of why and how a great producer is so important to a rapper and it shows how some rappers are not great at crafting albums or songs by themselves

Exactly.

And since RZA lost all his magic, I don’t get why it's taken Rae 30 years to figure out that he needs that.

We all seem to know. LOL!!

Right?:russ:

It’s funny because I think the last Raekwon album i heard was Linx Part II

All the albums post Linx Pt II, i didn’t bother with because I knew when I would hear a song or two from it, I knew it would be some bullshyt :pachaha:

This past week I been just been going back and listening to random Wu songs and then I was like “let me finally give some of these Raekwon albums I passed on a chance”

I learned quickly that those albums were just as wack as I thought they are :russ:
