Baldness is heredity so if both your father and grandfather are bald... you will end up bald too.

But enjoy your locs while can. I started my loc journey in Sep'17. Still not locked. Lol.

I want to free form but working in an office, I'm trying to look half way decent. This budding stage is not for the faint of heart.
Baldness is not inherited from your fathers side of the family. It's from your mothers side. Basically, if the men, specifically her father, on your mothers side of the family are bald, then you will be too...

If so many of y’all didn’t fold under the pressure of people’s ignorant comments during the first year and cut it off, I’d be low key mad that so many folks are jumping on the bandwagon. With that said good luck.:lolbron:

I’m 3 and a half years in and my locs are the shyt. All the people who told me I looked like Bubbles from the wire ate their words. I have an inch of wavy hair at the base that leads into the locs that are naturally turning burgundy at the tips. It’s the most fire shyt I’ve seen.:ohlawd: My woman be mad when I leave the crib without a tam because she knows hoes always try to touch my shyt.:wow:

I can’t even pretend to be humble about how dope my locs are nowadays. When I get complements on them now I just hit back with a “fasho:jawalrus:

My will to keep growing my shyt with people telling me to cut it everyday during the first year is the real mvp. Thank you, me, for being so strong and determined. We did it.:mjcry:[/flex]
Yea that ugly stage is harsh.

People who don’t understand will clown until yo dreads mature and then they STFU

are you sure about this?

We both right...google

While the primary baldness gene is on the X chromosome, which men get only from their mothers, other factors are also in play. The hereditary factor is slightly more dominant on the woman's side, but research suggests that men who have a bald father are more likely to develop male pattern baldness than those who don't.

Positive. Heard it straight from my dermatologists mouth.

yeah I have been twisting my hair every month... just got it done a week ago.
I think that is the last time though cause she twisted so tight... but working in an office, how can I get away with freeforming?
If your hair is locked, you can stop twisting and freeform. I kept going back cause my hair was unraveling, not locking, and just to soft.
unraveling is the worst tho :mjcry: some of mine in the front keep getting loose im wondering if it'll ever lock :mjcry:

For me, it is the ones in the back... the bottom two rows... and then I had a section on the right too.

If they stayed put, I prolly wouldn't go back.

:gladbron: oh shyt really? for some reason i thought you had to choose one method from the start. this gives me hope :blessed:

Once you have dreads for a certain amount of time and theyre fully loc’d most folk go months without retwists. Then they start lookin like a freeform loc.

I semi-freeform. I go probably 2-3 months without retwists. I do this cause:

-im lazy and dont have time to dedicate 6hrs on a weekend to get a retwist and shapeup

-retwisting too much thins your roots as time goes on.

-My hair is so thick and full of volume that my shyt look like a lion’s mane.

-I tie my hair up alot into buns and I can have fun wit my shyt. Hoes love it :blessed:

Sparking blunts in the shade.
I know right! Dude is mad moist.

Neither you or the other sucker gave a reason as to why my post was “moist”. And you sir, read the post you claim was moist and asked me to splash you with photos of myself.:russ:

I thought that was mighty strange and told you no. So now you’re mad and are trying to throw dirt on my name by hopping on the bandwagon of the other clown.:mjlol:

You cats really are bytch made these days. :pachaha:
