No one wants to be monogamous, it's just the most practical form of maintaining relationships when there's a danger of unwanted pregnancies and STDs.

Marriage is rooted in monogamy and of course religion/morality bullshìt though. Very very very very few people will have the courage to bring up the possibility of an open one at the start.

I actually understand what he is saying here. I remember hearing the young man from Holes say something similar. That women who were in relationships and marriages would still be trying choose up on him and so he has trust issues as a result.

If that is what you have experienced all the time and have rarely of every seen a solid, healthy relationship of course you would feel it's not worth it.

I used to be a DJ so I experienced this as well.

I grew out of the trust issues because I actually want a meaningful relationship and kids am willing to risk being hurt.

I understand we don't own anyone, we can only experience people.
