The Bay movies burned through all the pubic interest and goodwill for the franchise. Bumblebee's main selling point was, "This is the good one," but that really isn't gonna mean much when people just aren't interested in Transformers anymore. The trailers didn't even generate much hype, especially not in comparison to Aquaman.
