In the mother's defense she doesn't have the same perspective as him.
To him losing is a big event for him and his life and career, to his mother he fell down and now he gotta get up, maybe that's how she sees it.

Also she is from North Phili, maybe the thought of losing the house was a reminder of poorer life she had.
For him, losing was a significant personal and professional setback. For his mother, it might have been another instance of life's hardships and an acknowledgment of what a boxing career entails from the perspective of someone outside the ring.
Sometimes you lose a fight.
Stop making excuses for a disturbing lack of motherly affections. It's cornballs like you that perpetuate this shyt.

You have no choice in whom your parents are, but you do have a choice in whom you allow to stay in your life once you are an adult. I realized that lesson as a teenager, and enacted a means of controlling whom was in my circle of family and friends once I was able to support myself.

So what I am saying is that you do not have to suffer through mistreatment as an adult, just because the person who does it is a relative or even your mother.

This is true, but it is a waste of time trying to convince the community to be truthful about the issue. The culture of ignoring the problems caused by mothers take time to change. Once we are able to be honest about the problems being caused by both sexes, which includes our mothers, then we may actually be able to rectify many of the problems we see plaguing our communities.

Until then, all I can suggest is that people understand that they do not have to stick around for mistreatment. Go where you are treated with respect, instead of staying where you are disrespected just because the person doing it is your mother.

He needs to tell this to a therapist, not a damn entertainment podcast.

Perhaps so, but it's generating a healthy discussion in this forum and it's something that is never, ever publicly discussed.

Probably wouldn't be bad to hit a therapist...

But talking about it with someone who understands your life, profession, etc. Might be better than a therapist.

I know for a fact Cool Boy received his highest payday fighting the Monster. He could buy multiple properties if he wanted to. He already owns a restaurant I think.

Felt bad for Fulton because I think apart of him felt like he let black America down. But black America had no idea how good Inoue was and is.
Does it really matter, though?

Japan finally got a noteworthy boxer after Black Americans had how many?

We good over here. Congrats on them getting a real life Ippo. :mjlol:
