honestly, i would handle the situation like that because i'd be angry. i'm the type to cut people off if i get angry at them, especially if they straight up do me wrong. no one is lying to the youth, that's just the type of person i am. i do that to spare myself the outburst. i can be a cold person, and i'm usually that way if someone does something to hurt me emotionally. that's why i said i could never understand fighting over it. that doesn't mean that i wouldn't want to, but if i found out, i wouldn't fight over it right then and there because there's not much to discuss. if i didn't do anything wrong and she did, then she's wrong, there's no discussion about it....
