The bolded is not true. Right now, Georgetown University may have a lawsuit on their hands b/c the university was on the brink of closure and sold slaves to get cash flow. The lawsuit would state that a multi million dollar university owes the decedents of slaves reparations b/c it was through the sale of their people that Georgetown is still in business today. If those black folks win the lawsuit against Georgetown, that makes our case for reparations even stronger.

Furthermore, the USA doesn't mind giving anyone reparations. The Jewish community has gotten a reparations package from America & Germany (& possibly another country). OAN, that's why its irresponsible for Jay Z to quote the Jewish community as example of entrepreneurship without noting the millions of dollars that funded their success. But I guarantee Jay will never tell that story. I digress.

Rather than the back and forth, I think we should do a book club. Let's read "When Affirmative Action Was White" and discuss. I haven't read the book either, but I'm hoping that your tune will change (concerning reparations) after this read.

I doubt the anonymous people on here who debate you and oppose reparations for slavery are actually black people. Saying slaves and slaveowners are deceased so it's a dead issue is white supremacists logic and talking points. Whose fault is it that reparations weren't paid out back then, certainly not the slaves. America chose to kick this 60 trillion dollar can down the road for over a century but that doesn't mean they don't still owe us. This debt should have been paid in full before anyone alive on Earth right now was even born.
Blacks understand we still feel the oppression. Liberal Democrats say they want to help blacks but they repeatedly said no to reparations which would give us a financial base. Jim crow, government placing guns and drugs in our community,housing and education discrimination, domestic terrorism from cops and so much more doesn't need to be explained to real black people but non black trolls online will talk in circles to deflect the thread off track.

That is an alley. That is a true insider that is working on behalf of black people. Angela Rye's stance is TBD, but if she's gloating over the Obama years, then that tells me that she is more wowed by "black symbolism" rather than "real black progress" and as a black person, that is just not good enough anymore.

Y'all lord & savior, Jay Z does this in songs all the time & y'all love it. Speaking of Jay, Boyce mentioned in a video (years ago) that Russell Simmons would always have petitions out to address the greviances of black folk (i.e. police brutality, etc). Boyce said that Russell would ask for celeb signatures as a form of support & he could never get a response from Jay & Bey's camp. But now the Carters are all so pro black & y'all are eating it up...when a few years ago, they couldn't even be bothered to give a signature!!!! All of y'all, including Boyce, have short memories.
