Bone Thugs aint a 1 seed over the Wu :camby:

as a group they are.

and everytime this argument is brought up, wutang supporters are left looking stupid.

im not gonna play dumb because the TV tells me otherwise. i grew out of that stage like 15 years ago.

I would disagree - but your argument is much stronger just taking into account the group albums.
Then again - I picked Main Source over Bone - so that tells you what I think of Bone :pachaha:

theyre more popular both impact & sales-wise, and have a better group catalog.

wutang were better branders and businessmen.

all coastal bias & media influence aside, bone is clearly the group of the '90s.

We've been down this road before. I think there was a ridiculously long thread about this...

Dude, get real. Wu Tang is in a different class. Even without the 1st round of solos (which is a bullshyt way to modify the question, because the whole clan collaborated on those records), Wu wins off of 36 chambers alone :camby:

Wu Tang changed what hip hop could be. RZA's approach to aesthetics elevated beatmaking as an artform. He reinvented the sonic boundaries of hip hop, by bringing atmosphere and ambiance to the forefront. Wu Tang was the first group to present hip hop as fine art. That's why they have such a wide reaching fanbase. shyt has nothing to do with coastal bias or the media... People who dont even like hip hop can recognize the greatness of the Wu.
