fukk yeah Nessler is GOAT him and Gary Danielson were a dope pair for ESPN/ABC back in the mid 90s nice to see them unite. Can't wait for him to replace washed up Verne too bad it's not this season gonna be weird not hearing Nessler during CFB season.

He's one of the voices of cfb. You know you were going to get some quality calls when he was in the booth.

ESPN isn't going anywhere breh. :heh:

They finally figured out that a lot of these overpaid broadcasters are interchangeable.

True and this might actually make the network worse (if that is even humanly possible) cause if you you thought these high price blowhards tooted the company horn, played into the ESPN narrative and were full of shyt. Some young hungry underpaid blowhard will even more willing to do everything Kats like Tirico and Skip Bayless would not do when it came to ESPIN marching orders.

I heard a rumor a few years back that Rece Davis was going to bounce to CBS. Doesn't seem so far fetched now.

Nessler is a BIG loss for ESPN. He was by far their best pbp guy. Nessler is good but he was dikkriding UF heavy one year when they played FSU. shyt was annoying :francis:

That Stephen A. Smith contract (3m+/year) they gave before their new earnings projections causing problems twofold

- Taking up a huge part of the talent budget in the face of slimmer margins. It's like the Gilbert Arenas/Rashard Lewis contracts before the CBA revision making them even worse after the lockout.
- I'm sure everyone asked for a raise proportional to what SAS got, but ESPN with cutbacks couldn't even offer anything close.

damn, Nessler is like an icon if you're a college football fan over the past 15-20 years.

His voice has called some of the best (and worst) OU moments.

I don't care who they have for replacements, some dudes just have a great/iconic voice.

this is bigger than Skip and Tirico combined, IMO

TYRONE GA!
Yo, what is going on over at ESPN for real? They spent way too much money on these sports packages (College football, NBA, NFL) and cant keep the announcers that brought them to the dance.

All these high contract cats aren't being retained once their shyt is over. I know it's fukked up, but they gotta pay for those rediculous TV contracts somehow. There's too much competition now and if ESPN didn't keep the NBA, MLB, etc. then CBS Sports, NBC Sports network, and even Fox Sports was gonna pay. You need programming. They can't go back to mufukkin strongman and shyt like back in the day.

At least younger heads will get shine now. Hopefully my nikka Amin will come up with these high priced cats not being retained. Lemme PM this nikka.

Nah I fukk with Tirico too both he and Nessler very versatile and gonna be weird not hearing them on ESPN anymore.

Musberger and Nessler were pretty much the top announcers for ABC/ESPN ever since Keith Jackson first retirement gonna be weird not hearing them anymore I'm not a fan of Fowler yet and with McDonough supposedly moving to MNF all my favorite announcers gonna be :camby:.

McDonough going from doing mid-afternoon B1G/Big12 games with Spielman, to primetime MNF. lol

Fowler is actually WAY better than I thought he'd be.....when they first said he was replacing Musberger, I was kinda mad.

My SEC Saturday night games :mjcry: Verne and Todd were a good pairing on CBS too. Verne and Brad been the voices of College Football in the South and on East for as long as I can remember. You can add Sean McDonough in there too
