So one of the downtown locker rooms here was supposed to be giving tickets for the grape 5s today at 10. I know because i called them sunday and was told "wednsday at 10".....because i was given misinformation from this location before, i called monday too just to hear it from someone else.......they said wednsday at 10 too.

So i get to the store this morning before 10 and they have a sign on the gate "tickets for the grape v's were distributed yesterday. They are sold out". i felt like throwing something thru the window.

The store didnt even open on time but one of the employees waiting to start his shift was out front and told me that the district manager told them to release the tickets yesterday....

I bounced and called the store a few minutes later (after they finally opended) to find out from the manager what happended.....she said the district manager told them to release the shoes just like the dude had said. I got the district offices number and called them to speak to whoever was over the district manager. When i called the security told me i had to speak to the district manager first before i spoke to his supervisor because of protocol.

I left him a message and he called me back within a few minutes. I think the nikka was nigerian or something from his accent......but this was the bullshyt reason he gave for authorizing the release....

They only had 16 pair, about 200 people wanted the shoes and it became a safety concern he wanted to avoid. That makes absolutly no sense.

I told him thanks for his time, hung up with him, called the other office back and had the secretary put me in touch with his supervisor......

His supervisor, who was white of course, said that he authorized the manager to release the tickets early after the manager voiced his safety concerns to him.....

I asked him what made this releases safety concerns anymore dire then any of the previous releases where they had a significtly higher demand for the shoes then they did shoes.............he responded with rhetoric

I told him it is terriable buisness to lie to your customers to which he responded he chose safety over integrety.................there was more said in the convo (we talked for about 15 mins) but what it boils down to is these stores really dont give a fukk about how they treat their customers. The only way we can change this is to stop supporting these stores.

Im going to call nike and see how high up the clout ladder i can get to try to fukk up this stores exclusive release ability but in the end im still fukked....

cause now im basically screwed on getting the shoes........

:mindblown: people really out there paying that much for Mambacurials!?

Those denim Revis look nice but ..wouldn't cop.

People go crazy for Kobe's out on the West Coast.......and they were very limited here in Seattle......only two spots had them and it wasnt alot.......plus the value on them continue's to rise..........

I got rid of the size 11 for $300 on Sunday......but still have my size 13.........Ill probably keep that one for myself.......

:dead:

Im only asking 250 and ppl trying to talk me down / trade.

I agree with you, but "sneakerheads" will never be in line. Its competitive so if you don't cop its 100 ppl waitin behind you who will. The protest from the first time the thunder/lightning pack dropped proved that.

You even have dudes who wait in line after a sell out is announced hoping ppls cards get declined.

yep.....the problem is they know the nikkas who buy the kicks will take whatever bullshyt they throw at us so they do whatever they want.

I bet if nikkas organized one good (one that effected their profits) protest against nike they would all of a sudden start releasing enough pairs to cover the demand and cut this limited release bullshyt
