This is a direct sign of the times and a reflection of nike inherently accepting the fact that they are losing massive sales to the grey market and there ain't a damn thang they could do aboot it.
I for one, support Kicks By Bruce Leeroy because i have zero stocks in the Beaverton company and old enough to not care about authenticity any more, but this new direction and conception of "crypto-kicks" from Nike should take a very interesting turn.
Tho one must admit, the approach is very niche, so i don't see it flying too far ahead, but there are still sneaker purists and people with enough money (and give enough shiits do participate) so my forecast could be very off... But on my side of the pacific, as long as my unauthorized imitations look good enough, the rest of my sneaker rooms are just rogue's galleries of the past/daunting reflection of how much i invested and the hard work i pulled to never actually snag the hyped and exclusive shiit without jumping over exhausting hoops or shelling out exponential, hard earned dollars to acquire them (i only have one stream of income and wear all my shoes... hence why i no longer care that I buy variant shoes that not even supposed "SNEAKER EXPERTS" could tell i'm donning).
By the end of the minute, it's never what you're wearing... it's all about how you look when you're wearing it.
Grab the mustard en masse... and enjoy your breds, fam.
As a matter of fact, I suggest you join my movement. And trust me. You won't be disappointed.
The dark side awaits.
