The hype on these are so forced. Imagine if it were BREDS or Royals? Breds were reselling at $300-$375 depending on size these are selling for $400 plus SMH. IF these came out in January of 2013 would the hype be the same? Would the demand be as high?

Its not "all" hype, you need these in hand, the quality on breds were not very good at all, the quality on these chicagos are MUCH better, these are up to pair with Fragment quality, totaly different level then Bred 1s and Shadows. The Bred 1's were real bad quality and feel so cheap, these dont.

@Two Stacks no one knows numbers for sure yet but Jordan never makes a lot of 1's and no where near 11s numbers. Typically there is only 30-40k 1's. Nowhere near 200k

I'm still salty about selling a pair of royals @ the mall on release day to some asian kid for $200

Lesson learned...ended up doubling up on the Chicagos, dude in line sold me a pair of 11.5s for $250 (selling this pair to fam for what I paid). I ended up getting a few 7 youths to flip . Game is the game, might as well eat if theres food on the plate. IMO the quality on these chicagos shyt on the bred 1s and its not even close. I did a side by side and u can see the diff in chicago's leather having pores vs that cheap pleather on the breds.

Exactly, which is why Breds sell but they dont sell like crazy. Quality always wins over hype in the long run. Out the gates in pics Breds were amazing, people got disappointing when they showed up and were shyt quality, fast forward to chicagos, colorway is obviously dope, hype was real for them and still is, but the difference is people are surprised for the quality once they were in hand. I would not trade a Chicago 1 for a Bred 1 regardless of production numbers, its just a much better shoe.

Actually, I've heard that SBB numbers are going to be higher than Chicago 1. Don't know how much tho.
