Wasn't planning on buying any tennis shoes until the Conchords... but I went ahead and impromptly purchased the Kanye's.
Have some neon laces that i'm gonna stick in em.
The price was a huge deterrent, but if it wasn't for the restock on the OG 700's back in September... I probably would not have got these.
Easily my favorite non-nike Yeezus model.
Since I went half up, they are indeed too big and put Dr. Scholl's work gel soles and they fit fine.
And considering that I'm OCD, I also got these half up for the culture (will also be placing the Scholl's in these as well).
Since the week I got the og 700's... I've been putting extreme miles on them and the beauty aboot these is that they looking nearly DS. It's amazing how well they hold up - but the overall build quality, aesthetic and comfort (with a cheat code having the added insole)… these would be great vacation shoes.
They'll prolly go for under retail soon cuz they sitting humpty style... but I got 'em for 314 shipped on Deadstock.ca --- so i'm not that mad (and I just got a raise so I said fukk it --- wasn't supposed to buy new shoes until I got married... but we see how that's churning out).
Wave Runners are extremely good shoes.
I was on that ANTI-Wave wave… but until you have them on --- you truly won't understand.
Also just got a "MAKE AMERICA MEXICO AGAIN" hat that i'ma rock with these when I go to San Antonio in December (You know my social troll game on fifty-leven).
On the forefoot of the sole, where the splash design in-grooves meets the suede side panel... i'm going to fill in that area with black paint, to give the front end some contrast and disparity. Creates a more radial dynamic for the streets of the emerald.
Along with the volt lace swap...
… I'll do these justice. You can bet your thick aunt's bra strap on it.
Photos in the WRYWT thread once they cum in.
Btw, still having wore my M2K Tekno's from the August FNL drop. I copped some Neon Orange angelus paint so I'm fixing to throw some color on the side panel swoosh and also to the nike check at the bottom of the tongue.
Really like these Element React 87's. Only have a couple for now... but they feel light and the cushionage is A-1. The upper is thin and flimsy.. but where it lacks in lateral support and material makes up for in breathability and lightness.
