I still remember getting these when they originally dropped in 98. shyt was an easy pick up and even when they got retroed in 2010 they were slept on and relatively easy to get. Now they give them a nickname He Got Game and now hype is multiplied times 20. This some sad shyt especially for these Jordan's.

Your absolutely right. That video from nikkas here in Houston (greenspoint) was the powder keg for this shyt to pop off all over the country.
The chick who was worried about her baby catching "ammonia", nikkas licking their shoes on live TV, and dusty ass nikkas with letterman school jackets acting like they were in a gang. The amount of ignorance in that video was staggering.

BRED1s are like..the absolute most retroed shoe ever. yes they were better quality but there were STAMPEDES AT OUTLETS for those things....resellers went to town and then put their sights on concords.

just before that true blue 3s which are UNQUESTIONABLY a goat sneaker sat in FSR at niketowns nationwide and sold as the summer progressed....those would sell out literally in 1 second on NDC now.

that's exactly the time frame it can be narrowed down to. been downhill since then. the hypebeasts and resellers caught on and took over. even jb and nike got in on it by raising prices for no reason other than seeing what people are paying on the reseller market.
