I was just having a discussion about this, the word deadstock has changed definitions over the years. Way back when it didn't mean unworn, but it referred to a pair of shoes that were not in stores anymore. Like when you'd call a store and ask about a pair of kicks and they'll tell you deadstock, meaning they don't have any and aren't going to get anymore. Then for some reason it took on a new meaning that we adopted today (unworn).
