Does it have to be that extreme breh I'll give you an example, let's say somebody less fortunate has needs and responsibilities? Would they be happier to give to someone they care about (kids, significant other/etc) or would they rather splurge on themselves while everyone else is short? I'd argue a person in that position, makes a larger sacrifice, can take more pride...
