How was he along for the ride when he led multiple game-winning drives?
The first Patriots SB was a team effort, no denying that. But people are arguing just for the sake of arguing right now. And Brady was nowhere near as terrible as Peyton was. If anything you could point out that he got knocked out of the Steelers game.
Brady is better, but not for many of the terrible reasons in here, but the reasons to defend Peyton are equally horrible and you know they're getting dapped up by nothing but Peyton stans. None of us want to run through all the reasons all over again though.
But let me put it like this, Brady went to the SB last year with a mediocre defense and by throwing the ball to win, those are exactly the types of teams Peyton was losing with. So that's no excuse either. Ill-adivsed INT towards the end of that game aside, Brady won a game where his defense was letting Flacco style on them. Peyton was losing games as the 1 seed where HE played horrible. That's the problem, I'd be more sympathetic if he was playing well and losing, but he was wack too with his "unstoppable offenses" that got stopped in the playoffs. But that's all I'll say on this today.
