I knew this thread was coming and I can't even front. Brady has been better than Manning all his life. Playing in a dome makes things a lot easier. Ask Drew Breed :sas2:

That would hold weight if Peyton didn't put up the best season ever and fall a monster season by AD short of claiming back-to-back MVP's....OUTDOORS!

The key to defending Peyton-led squads is to play physical, man-on-man defense. Manning will destroy zone 9/10 times. You have to have to players to turn the game around on them and push them around. Throw off the timing and put fear in the receivers' hearts. Worked against the Colts and now the Broncos. Ask Beli, the Chargers, Seahawks, or Steelers - all teams Manning historically does the worst against.

This is what proves to me that Peyton is a better "quarterback" than Brady. Just watch how teams gameplan for them. To stop Peyton, you have to affect his receivers, not him. There's absolutely nothing you can do to "him". To stop Brady, teams just put pressure on him with their front four and he folds. I watched the Ravens team a couple years ago in the playoffs play Manning one week and their gameplan was to make his receivers beat them. Then the following week, watch the same team switch their gameplan to "rattle Brady...win the game". It happens all the time. The year the Jets sent Peyton packing, Ryan kept it physical with the receivers and refused to blitz Peyton. The following week, they just sent the dogs on Brady and was successful. More than likely, whenever anyone is in the "Brady" camp, their only cards are team successes. They never have anything singular to playing the position better. Peyton all time numbers are better, which includes a better rating than Brady outdoors and in the playoffs.

Only knock on Peyton is that he chokes in big games. He's been doing that since Tennessee. :yeshrug:

But just like the Gators, the Patriots are just an overall superior team. Better coached and more complete.

I got mad respect for Tony Dungy but let's be reality, his playoff record ain't good. His Bucs used to get smacked around in Philly every year. They held the Greatest Show on Turf to 11 points and still couldn't produce enough points on the board to win. Gruden only needed 1 season to do what he couldn't. And John Fox is fukkin joke. Meanwhile Brady got the GAWD Bilicheck on the sidelines.

I would love to see an alternate universe where Brady and Manning switch places. I guarantee Brady doesn't win 3 SB's in Indy with Dungy. Peyton with Belichick might be :ohhh: though.

But it's hard to say because Peyton usually overshadows his coach so how would he and :beli: mesh? What got Brady on the field in the first place is he was a nobody, perfect for Beli's whole "no one is above the team" concept. He replaced traditional franchise QB, #1 overall pick Drew Bledsoe.

All in all, I can't just flat out say Brady > Manning but I will say Belichick+Brady > Dungy+Manning.

Anybody claiming that Peyton's better than Brady has lost all sense of reality.

Head-to-head matchups (regular season AND playoffs): Brady
Number of SB Rings: Brady
Number of SB appearances: Brady
Number of AFC Championship appearances: Brady
Better playoffs record: Brady

Brady's accomplishments are even more astounding when you consider that Brady never had as many offensive weapons as Peyton's had throughout his career. Also, Peyton also played a big chunk of his career inside a dome (free from unfavorable weather conditions) as opposed to Brady who's consistently played--and thrived--in windy/rainy/snowy weather.

Peyton's had everything given to him to succeed time and time again and he's failed repeatedly. Look past his regular season accomplishments/records and anybody will recognize that he's the biggest choke artist in the game.

I feel bad for Peyton stans.

It was a solid record, tho. It really seemed like some plug and play shyt.

Only losing what 5 or 6 games would usually get you a wildcard at least.

:stopitslime:

Brady plays: Pats are a SB contender, nevermind a playoffs team.

Cassel plays: Pats miss the playoffs.

Plug and play, my a**!
