Brady Restructures Contract

Tom Brady has restructured his contract with the Patriots, freeing up $24 million for the team to use elsewhere, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Brady’s “skill” guarantee was tweaked to be an “injury guarantee,” which now pays the $24 million only if Brady gets hurt. New England also could relase the quarterback without any liability, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Patriots would likely use the money to keep impending free agents, such as cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Those reports before the season and early on in the season were obviously horseshyt..or Brady over-reacted to the team's slow start. They kept saying Brady was furious about giving the Pats more money to build the roster earlier and them not keeping Welker or doing enough in general with it..even Felger/Mazz and those other clowns on the radio were talking about it and taking Brady's side on it. He wouldn't have done it again if those reports were as factual as it was presented IMO.
