This is the issue that I have with hip hop right now. The mainstream shyt is fukking poison man. It's the snit the masses of us hear on the radio. Those people pushing this music aren't black. Man the crazy shyt to me is I grew up in NY when it was the murder capital of the country, and the majority of the people in the hood weren't some super gangsta murderous drug dealer. 95% of them were working, lower middle class black people trying to provide for themselves and have some fun in the process. But somehow music execs were able to find and promote music from that group and give them a platform to make a specific kinda music to the masses.
