Thundercat is on brainfeeder and has played bass on all Flying Lotus' shyt.
The knock on this type of music is its ear candy but lacking in true song structure. Like, picture someone covering a Flylo tune. Never happen. It's almost like free jazz or some shyt with hip hop sensibilities. I once saw it described as "all dribbling with the left hand while wearing a polka dotted uniform".
