Gentlemen, I'm 21 years old, but refuse to dress like most guys my age (Tees, hoodies, etc.), and instead wear almost exclusively casual button down shirts. Untucked of course.

That's what most of my wardrobe consists of already, except I'm running into the problem of the shirts either getting worn with usage or just not my fit anymore (I recently began hitting the gym hard after a year or so off and pretty much everything I bought then is worthless).

I bought a handful of Ralph Lauren shirts not too long ago, and don't get me wrong they're great: excellent material, great colors, etc., but they don't tend to fit my body type as well as I'd like. I've asked around and most people are telling me Express is the place for me.

Any suggestions?

GAP slim fit is the best of anything I've tried.

Express and Alfani slim fits work for me too

If not slim cut sometimes just going a size down does the trick

The thing with me is, while do have a fairly muscular build, I'm not really lean. And because of that slim fit is a really awkward fit for me and I usually have to go up a size, then you have the problem of the back of the shirt flaring up like a fukking dress.

I can do tucked in when the occasion calls for it, but if we're talking day to day, I prefer the loose feel of an untucked shirt. :yeshrug:

nah i was just jivin' i know what you mean. im kind of the opposite, the loose feel seems like it gets in the way most of the time. Somedays I say the hell with it though.

Tucked works really well in the cold months when I'm layering, but for spring/summer, sometimes I feel like I'm overdressed simply by tucking the shirt in. It's weird I know.

Sound Reasoning
Personally, I prefer Macy's Club Room brand. I've worn everything from Polo to Michael Kors to hand-made button downs, and I think Club Room is the best. I'm a stocky dude whose broad in the chest and shoulders and those fit best for my body. Lots of different colors and different cuts for the shirts-classic, slim, etc.

Great quality at a great price. And this is coming from a dude who's wears button downs on the regular-both professionally and casually.

Peace

If you're gonna go to Macy's and you're looking for good slim fit shirts (Calvin Klein for dress shirts, bar III for dress shirts, INC, maybe Alfani).

Polo custom fits & Tommy Hilfiger trim fits FTW :salute:
