Brandon Marshall: "ESPN Lied To Me"

I ran into this feature on E:60 last night actually, and he looked really uncomfortable talking about the domestic issues.

Personally, I don't think he was telling the whole truth about the incidents in the piece...but he's made big efforts & strides since, and the cases are no longer in play.

I will watch the E60 piece before I join in on condemning ESPN da gawd but i think Brandon is hiding something too. Like he didn't catch on to what ESPN was doing when he's getting domestic violence questions when he expects to be asked about some camp?

that's exactly what i said this morning when i read that he said they lied to him. i'm like - you think they're gonna follow you for 2 years to talk about a camp? did you not know it's espn & it's an investigative journalism show?

they probably followed him for 2 years to see if he'd break again with some craziness/domestic dispute, so that they could capture it all for the piece like a movie.

I caught this last night as well, it was basically his past issues, domestic violence, him discovering he is bipolar, things like that. The only part where I felt about was when they were talking about when he got stabbed. Lisa pushed him & his wife to say that she stabbed him with a knife. They both danced around the question. He said about a broken vase & Lisa asked if it there was a bloody knife. Brandon also said that the police report wasn't true. His wife basically said it wasn't true either and only her & him really knows what happened. Other than that it was about him turning his life around and being more of a leader on the team and having a better relationship with his wife. I honestly didn't think it was that bad. I guess if he was told something else he has a right to be upset but they didn't really paint him in a bad light.

: Look I know that I am the only W-hite (you know he gotta emphasize the H in it) on this show and I can't and I WON'T talk about race issues as I am very uncomfortable speaking about thrbut Stephen A. Smith... *sighs* you and I have been friends for years now and I am going to agree with you here that Brandon Marshall is in the wrong here. Like you said, he's been on our show multiple times, great guy, we love him. Absolutely love him but Stephen A. Smith? Brandon Marshall has to look himself in the mirror on this one and just say "I am wrong.". There's no greater network out there other than the Worldwide Leader In Sports and the guys at E60 do a wonderful job night in and night out. Great group of guys and gals over there and I just want to come out and say that they did not go into that interview woth maliious intent. Te lovely Lisa Salters doesn't have a bad bone in her body. Thats all I've got to say as I will just echo your statement.
