Where is this "he's ONLY hated because of his race" argument coming from that these guys are debating?

I don't think anyone needs it spelled out to them that there's a multitude of reasons as to why someone can be disliked. But to say races isn't one of the reasons he's disliked is an outright lie.

“I commend him because back in the day our athletes and entertainers used to be civil rights leaders. They used to speak up,” Marshall said. “But now, the business has taken over. You have these brands like Under Armour, Nike and Beats by Dre and the yogurt thing (Dannon) that he endorsed. They come in, they tell you, ‘You know what, just be a good boy, shut your mouth and collect your check.’”

Then Marshall reversed himself and complimented Newton. “But what we have to understand is this is the new generation,” he said. “This is what they’re doing next. They’re disruptive, they’re disrespectful, they don’t give a damn about anyone, and I kind of like it. Go back to when he was a rookie and he said, ‘I want to be an icon.’ You want to be an icon, you can’t stay in the box, you have to get out of the box, you have to be disruptive.”

Does the coli read articles or just post without context? Judging by the fact there are people that comment within seconds of the thread being posted I'm going to say ain't no one reading shyt. :mjpls:

Marshall was also asked if he thought the Jets were better than the two teams in the Super Bowl. “Absolutely,” Marshall said.

Marshall was also asked if he thought the Jets were better than the two teams in the Super Bowl. “Absolutely,” Marshall said. But when he tried to elaborate on his explanation, the wideout couldn’t keep a straight face, revealing that even Marshall knew he was stretching the truth.

He knew he was talking nonsense.:russ:

Nah, they aren't scared of a black qb, they are scared of an openly black quarterback, that embraces and loves his blackness and his culture. They don't mind cornballs like Russell Wilson because they know he will turn on black folks at the drop of a hat. But Cam a real one, and real nikkas scare white folks.
This is racist actually. How is he embracing his "blackness" more than say RGIII, Mike Vick, Russell Wilson?

And this is why we shouldn't encourage athletes or entertainers to speak out on issues.

Cause when they open they mouth they say dumb shyt

There will never be another ali,

Athletes who give a damn, just cut the check, rock a shirt and keep it pushing for real.
And this guy is the poster boy for domestic violence :stopitslime:

These Cam haters are the white people that loved Barry Sanders. Mind you, it's always been this way. A lot of white people loved Miami football in the 90s. And the people that don't care for Cam didn't care for Miami. It is a cultural thing. Some of the people that hate on celebration are racist of course, but it's not a catch-all IMO. Like it's been said. it's more a measure of cultural preference. My friends that were Miami fans for the most part were into rap too.

Marshall is partially right, it seems to be a generational divide. But that generational objection is rooted in racism. These old white people hate the younger generation that celebrates themselves. Especially a black one. In the end Fukk em!

Naw it ain't generational it is straight up racism. They don't want a black QB dominating or being the face of the league. They treated Culpepper, McNabb and Moon all the same way.

Folks mention Russell but even when he went to those Superbowl he wasn't as dominate as Cam and he certainly wasnt the MVP or the potential face of the league.

Don't matter if these brothas out spoken or don't talk. They do not want these dudes taking over like this.
