He has a point, I watched 2-3 games tops this NFL season, yet I'm hyped to see Cam next Sunday.
Like it or not, Cam is a transcending talent who will attract casuals like me to watch his games, Newton is basically the Kobe/Bron/Curry of his sport.

As I get older and further into the real world, I see that white people aren't going to like you unless you're one of those safe, overly agreeable, smiling, ass kissing nikkas.

Cam just became a good passer this year. In fact he had 10 td's and 9 int's almost halfway through the season. The coli narrative that he's somehow aleady the best qb in the game and one of the best ever is hillarious
I`d say this is probably the most accurate answer.
Because there are plenty of people who like a black QB like Warren Moon but don't like Cam Newton.
I`ve never liked Cam, and it has nothing to do with his blackness, because i was a big fan of Terell Pryor with the Raiders.
Cam is insufferable because he is a mopey bytch when he loses with towels over his head looking disinterested, Then you see the opposite, when he's winning he makes a spectacle of himself. that's an annoying quality in a person.
But surely there are plenty of people who dislike him because he is black and not scared to let you know that or embrace that and he also represents a youthful hip-hop culture type persona, which is a big reason many people don't like him, which is just garbage.
Problem is, this stuff gets polarized. The truth is you can dislike Cam Newton and not be a racist, but many people do not feel that way, and that's just a dumb way to think.

That's one of the things that irks me, this dude been middle of the road his entire career, literally right in the middle of the pack statistically, now he's the GOAT all of a sudden.
Truth is, at this moment he's playing the best of any QB in the game, but one season don't make you the king.
Breh Aaron Rodgers has been great for over a half a decade and had an " off" year with 38 td's 8 int's and people here say Cams better

There was a time him and Kaep had the same numbers. Actually Kaeps rating was higher. Cam just took his game to the next level but I think the whole team did. Folk here get hyped over shyt like this then start making ridiculous claims and comparisons.
Cam is MVP but he isn't the best QB in the league.
It's the media too they buy into it Longevity means nothing now and one great year and you're better then people who've been great forever ie Curry compared to Lebron
Also look how fickle people and the media are. Last year this time Luck was leading a mediocre team to the afc title game and thought of as the next great qb while cam was still struggling in the passing game for a 4th straight year . Fast forward 12 months and Cams the greatest thing we've ever seen and people are questioning if Luck should be a starter

I agree with BM...I don't think a lot of people like cam because star QBs are often thought of being above the excess celebrations...the great ones are thought of as coming off as humble. For that reason, I dont think that people particularly have a problem with him because he is black.
I don't have a problem with his celebrations myself...they don't come off as excessive to me, and he doesn't talk shyt. He seems pretty mature with the limelight and the recent success. I think what fans and league may be afraid of are people following in his footsteps. QBs were one of those potions that were uncorrupted by being over attention grabbing. He might be starting a trend for the people who come behind him...
Either way, I don't think it has anything to do with race, black Qbs are nothing new....that mold/stereotype was broken a decade or two ago. People are used to it now. Anybody over 30 will remember when a slew of em came in back between like 1999-2003 with a lot of fan support.
