no one expected her to beast for 20 years just like no one would've expected beyonce to become what she did, that's luck. dominating charts for 20+ years is a rare feat and not one people 'expect" from an artist. you're trying to knock her on expectations people never had

but you seem to harbor ill feelings for her based on all your posts literally nitpicking things/rumors from years ago to bring into a discussion about last night (like no one cares about her fake marriage, everyone i knew back then found her more relatable when it was revealed she had a baby out of wedlock).

But same as Monica came off as aloof last night, Brandy comes off as fake, passive aggressive. And I believe that had a lot to do with Monica's continued lack of enthusiasm. Thats not me hating lol

No, we’re not. I never had a discussion about Brandy’s technical skill in 4/5th 10th/11th grade nor in college. People liked her music and kept it moving. Y’all are doing too much, people don’t sit around discussing intonation and pitch and whatever else when they listen to music, unless there is a glaring flaw like Christina Aguilera who can’t control her voice for shyt, most people don’t care about technical skills

breh, Monica’s intonation and that uneven goaty vibrato has always been woat lol.. if you a singer/musician then you know lol. you don’t even need a tuner to hear that she’s always veering off the center of the pitch. Runs always been labored and sloppy. her bread and butter has always been the clarity and richness of her natural tone and fullness of her voice.. aside from that, she don’t have the skill, musicianship or technique as others in her lane.

What is this Simon Cowell stuff y'all are on... I guarantee you, most listeners are not dissecting Monica's music, or Brandy's either for that matter, based on this meticulous stuff. @dora_da_destroyer is correct about this- obviously having a good voice is important, but listeners of music do not spend this much energy about any of this stuff. If that was the case, Janet Jackson wouldn't have blown, Aaliyah wouldn't have blown, MJB wouldn't have blown, etc...
