That's where Acuna is dearly missed. Yeah Joc and Duvall can hit some home runs but so what? Acuna can hit quality pitching and beat teams in a number of ways with power or speed..

These guys can barely make contact most of the time. But the loss was on Snit and Puke Jackson.. Puke is garbage and Snit should have not even bothered or if you are gonna use him then you need a very short leash in that spot..

Did i ever think Puke could get Belly out in that spot? Hell no.. :mjlol:
Luke is not a high leverage pitcher for situations like that. Minter and Maztek need to be on the mound in the late innings during the playoffs. Save Luke for the 5th or 6th innings

The Arsenal
throwing a high heater isn't bad per se, but you already threw the same pitch in the same spot the pitch before. he made an adjustment. he was setup nicely for that death slider of his after he sped belli's bat up.

It was the pitch he wanted and was setting up for. He was clearly swinging for the fences. You have to go low there with a slider or 2.

Maztek threw 11 pitches in 7th, and was dealing. Had 3 lefties coming up in 8th, so why pull him? That's an issue with Snit at times, he doesn't know how to go for the jugular in the playoffs. Treats shyt like a damn May game against the Reds or some shyt.

And especially how Belly has been swinging this year, it was a smart pitch
It would have been smart if he didn't throw the same damn pitch the one before. This ain't the regular season, these boys are dogs and fighting for their playoff lives out there. He adjusted as expected and did what he wanted. Bomb

But still a fast ball chest high, you don't expect to get hit out like that. Gotta tip your cap to Belly.

Yes you do. :russ: That's exactly a pitch you expect to get hit out in the playoffs. You know Adam Duvall hits the majority of his homers on that same pitch.

Most players don’t hit chest high fastballs for homers. That’s extremely rare. Especially not Bellinger who’s been getting over powered for nearly 2 straight seasons. He made the right pitch, it just didn’t work. It happens
