This is going to happen in Mexico too some day. They're going to have their own Bolsonaro, especially if the current president ruins the economy.
I wouldn't have a problem if every last Narco was killed (in fact it would be great for Latin America) but I also don't trust authoritarian leaders like that.

Bolsonaros goal is not to win or achieve anything. His goal is to steal and loot like all his predecessors. His first act of power was to authorize deforestation in the Amazon and open up mining operations. He will be a little more sophisticated in his theft than lula and dilma who were basically jankin dudes on the corner and shaking down every company in sight. Those type of leaders fail every time in Latin America and this guy will probably unfortunately be no different. The problem is that someone always reaches a breaking point. I remember being in the D.R late 90s when crime started getting really bad and they named a new national police chief hard-line "killem all " type dude, and that's exactly what police did.First few months it was cool since hardcore criminals were being taken off the streets forever. Shortly after that though things got ugly quick, petty thieves are being tortured, minors were missing by the dozens etc etc. Eventually they had to fall back and overall had very little impact. Keep in mind DR criminals / gangs have never been as armed as these dudes in Brazil also the Narcos in Mexico are even more armed and organized and psychotic. Dude in the video in the OP said it himself they ready to die fighting.
Im brazilian. Even with the fact that bolsonaro is a dumb mysog racist, brazilian population, in general, tired of the crazy amount of crimes, gangs and violence, truly believe he will make brazil better and really fight crime.
Personally, I'll be surprised if he really affect the deeper crime schemes that Brazil has.
Yep alot of these countries like Mexico who got these liberal type of Presidents now may have his successor be the opposite.
I can see the same for more developed countries like Canada, France and England also. That populist movement is gonna spread far.

We saw a preview of this two weeks ago in ceara when all the brazilian gangs in the state formed up like Voltron. There will be a temporary truce between the gangs First Capital Command,Red Command, and other local gangs. These Brazilian gangs have heavy weapons and have shown in the past no fear of police. Cops get ambushed in Brazil. However with Bolsonaro in power he will allow the police to use relaxed laws of engagement, the right wing militas will have access to arms with relaxed gun laws and the military will come in to reinforce the police and military. With all of this we could see a low level urban war spreading all over Brazil that could spiral out of control. And with Bolsonaros radical laws it will lead to people in the favelas join the gangs. This is what First Capital Command did in Sao Paulo in 2012.@ZoeGod was right on the money.
Now imagine if shyt like this happens nationwide in Brazil it could spiral out of control with all the gangs linking up to kill cops daily. It would create a cycle of bloodshed with no end in sight. It would be a low level civil war.By the end of 2012, another wave of attacks against the police began. The cause was apparently an announcement made by PCC leaders and spread to gang members outside jail. According to the message, called "Salve Geral", the organization was suffering losses allegedly caused by coward murdering of gang members by the São Paulo State police, and thereby, for each member killed by the police, one officer of the same corporation that caused it had to be murdered.
Then, during about thirty days, every day one or two policemen were killed, mostly in defenseless circumstances, such as resting, on vacation, or even retired officers. Many policemen were murdered in front of family or friends, usually when arriving or leaving their homes. After the crime, co-workers of the victim went to the neighborhood's drug hotspots, shooting suspicious people there in order to avenge their dead colleague. During those days, the city usually woke up with near a dozen casualties the night before.
By December, the killings started to decrease and ceased with no known reason.
You don’t need heavy artillery to win a propaganda war. They got rifles and shyt too but no heavy artillery...![]()
