definitely fake/propaganda from the government.

no criminal organizations EVER want to go to war with the authorities....EVER

you may have individuals/cliques/outlaw types

but as a whole that strategy never makes sense....stupid from a business (no money if youre spending all your time/money fighting) and practical (no gang has enough guns/bodies to fight a government) perspective

dude is going to go through those hoods with armored personnel carriers...house by house...extrajudicial killings...people gonna be disappeared

but watch this...on the flip side you're going to see the govt try and buy off the poor folks by combining this with increased spending etc...this will be so that the people wont revolt at their neighborhoods being turned into war zones and i bet you there will be a lot of people that end up hating him publicly but privately supportive

this happens because we as liberals/minorities always always give the criminals amongst us, a bit too much leeway...

I don't know if you played the video game Max Payne 3, but Bolsonaro is gonna have the favelas looking like this.

One of the most realist shyt in a video game. But yea the new president is going to spread anarchy across many improvised areas of Brasil. And like you said many of the victims are going to join these gangs. Unlike American gangs or hell... Mexican Cartels, Brasilian gangs aren't afraid of bucking back at law authorities. I would not be surprised if we start seeing Colombia late 79s-early 90s level of terror.

They REALLY need to remake or make backwards compatible that game.

Those type of leaders fail every time in Latin America and this guy will probably unfortunately be no different. The problem is that someone always reaches a breaking point. I remember being in the D.R late 90s when crime started getting really bad and they named a new national police chief hard-line "killem all " type dude, and that's exactly what police did.First few months it was cool since hardcore criminals were being taken off the streets forever. Shortly after that though things got ugly quick, petty thieves are being tortured, minors were missing by the dozens etc etc. Eventually they had to fall back and overall had very little impact. Keep in mind DR criminals / gangs have never been as armed as these dudes in Brazil also the Narcos in Mexico are even more armed and organized and psychotic. Dude in the video in the OP said it himself they ready to die fighting.
Much like Death Note they fail to do anything about the cause of crime which is mainly poverty . Killing criminals is never going to stop crime.

Very interesting (I figured that).

I'll be in Brazil next month. Slightly anxious, but excited.

I said multiple times when I used to post more here. All coli brehs should travel here. Cool and unique places. Best food in the world BY FAR. Also, Easy af to game girls due to being american factor (brazilians are dumb enough to sometimes, like the rest of the world, worship americans).
