That was after Francesa put in work to build a fanbase and get companies to buy ad time during his show. Like Hogan said, he "made that organization up there a monster."

They don't pay shyt in radio anymore. The money is in appearances, endorsements, and other extra curriculars. No one listens to radio, even in one of the biggest markets in the world.
