It wasn't his trial. It was the dudes he told on trial. 69 had already been sentanced before their trial even started. 69 didn't take his case to trial because he could've gotten a life sentence therefore he took a plea deal of 47 years instead of jeopardizing getting life. He then cooperated to get a even lowered sentenced which he will receive next week. 37 years. 10 years knocked off for his cooperation

He's getting sentenced next week on the 18th

before he cooperated he was facing up to 47 years which is what he would have gotten on that date had he not cooperated

now with the dismissal of the gun charges the most he can get on the 18th is 37 years

Prosecutors are asking to knock 10 years off

The Judge can give him time served or even life.

"The Government will move to dismiss Count Two at sentencing," wrote Longyear. "Thus …the defendant’s mandatory minimum term of incarceration would be 37 years’ imprisonment."

The judge has the last say no prosecutors. What the prosecutors did was drop a weapons charge so now the judge only has to consider 37 to life instead of 47. Now the judge can have a easier time if he feels 69 did enough to shave off 36 years and 1 year of time served thus him getting out.
