Yeah. Studies show higher occurances of arthritis when you get the scope, plus diminished athletic ability. At this point, AP doesn't have many years left and the Vikings are primed for a big run this year, so he might take the risk

AP shouldn't get his meniscus removed just to come back faster. It's pretty much known that it will lead to knee problems down the line and while he doesn't have much time in the NFL left he also doesn't want to be limping around with bad knees when he is 40 either if he can help it.

His presence handcuffs the offense. We don't have to force feed carries when he's not around and offense can operate more in the spread since Asiata and Mckinnon can block better than AD and catch better too.
