Action Bronson gonna have to step his game up now. Though their styles and content are somewhat different, I enjoy Parts Unknown and F*ck That's Delicious equally.

I need Action or Eddie Huang to take over the reigns for Bourdain.
Hold on there big fella :whoa:

Andrew Zimmerman got next ...

The outer limits
Nah your wife’s way of looking at is terrible. Telling someone they should force themselves to keep suffering is an awful stance in my opinion. :manny:

Suicide is selfish..dude has a young daughter. Because he can't come to terms with his own demons she now has to grow up with no dad. As a father, yes you should force yourself to be around, especially if you have kids

Its interesting how Andrew Zimmerman is a recovering addict too...

He said he was on dope and drinking bad after college, living on the street..., one day a friend told him to go get help so he did.. When he got out he got a job bussing tables at a restaurant and one day the chef called in sick and he told the manager he can cook a lil bit (remembering all the dishes his grandmother taught him) so he filled in for the chef that day and the food turned out so good the manager made him the restaurants top chef.. The rest is history

What that sober life do :blessed:

Telling someone they should suffer because of how it will make you feel if they don’t is selfish. Everybody dies in the end.

I really hope he didn't kill himself over that whore Asia Argento. I'll never watch her daddy's flicks again.

Supposedly french paparazzi's were seen talking pictures of her holding hands with another man in france.

I heard she had been threatening to break up with him and rumors have been saying shes been cheating

She posted this after his suicide and then deleted it with this as the caption "You know who you are."

The reason I like to travel is because of him and his shows. He really capture the beauty of countries when most would just say it's just a crappy nation

This hits close to him cause I suffer from depression and have been treated for it. I was having a shytty day and seeing this didn't help.

There is no shame in seeking help brehs. Don't be afraid to reach out

I love the sheer weirdness of the kitchen life: the dreamers, the crackpots, the refugees, and the sociopaths with whom I continue to work; the ever-present smells of roasting bones, searing fish, and simmering liquids; the noise and clatter, the hiss and spray, the flames, the smoke, and the steam. Admittedly, it’s a life that grinds you down. Most of us who live and operate in the culinary underworld are in some fundamental way dysfunctional. We’ve all chosen to turn our backs on the nine-to-five, on ever having a Friday or Saturday night off, on ever having a normal relationship with a non-cook.

R.I.P.

Used to watch him while taking chemo. TV stayed on the travel channel or food network. Something about his shows were so different from others. He treated other people in different countries like actual people. Sat down, ate and just talked. Never got the feeling he was looking down on those folks are acting like he was somehow above them.

It's dope he was able to reach and touch people in different countries. He'll be remembered all over the world. By some who personally got to speak to him and by others who saw him from the screen. Meeting so many people and connecting with them is something that leaves everyone like "wow" when you pass. So many people around the world knew this dude, either eating or speaking with him. He was able to go different places and yet not treat you any differently. The fact that others in this thread saw the same thing (through tv screen) says something.

His shows were always so relaxing as well. So real and (un)arrogant, just straight up human. No pretending or "I'll say this so you'll like me more." There was a very human feeling about them. Like there was no need to put on an 'act' or 'show' because he was interacting with others who were themselves, in turn so was he.
