Also, Booze Traveler (though I haven't watched in a while) is a similar show I'd suggest/recommend. I don't even drink, I watched for the locals and conversations/interactions. Gave me Bourdain vibes, might invoke a similar feeling in you. Give it a shot (no pun).

Damn...this actually kind of effected me. Bourdain is my idol, when people ask me what my goals are in life I literally say his name and that's it. Not only did he travel and eat, he opened me up to a world of places and cuisines I may not have known about. He really changed the way I travel in a positive way. Definitely an inspiration and he seemed to be a dope person with a good heart.

I gasped when I saw the headline but was at work so I couldn't read further, I was absolutely shocked to see he committed suicide. I have been feeling depressed a lot lately, so to hear that this man who I admired so much end his life when he was seemingly living a dream is kind of...rough. I know you can never know what someone is really feeling or what they have going on though so that was all a television facade. I knew he had addiction issues in the past, but I just would not have expected this.

RIP I will sincerely miss his contributions to the food and travel scene. You'll be missed .

Right. Keep hurting so you won’t hurt someone else.
I had a close friend commit suicide. But I understood why. He had horrible depression his entire life and nothing helped. Yeah we shared some good times but end of the day nothing gave him happiness.

Yeah it hurt to not have him around anymore but who am I to tell someone they should keep going through pain just to make me feel better about it. I'm happy he found peace finally. It was his choice.

People that say suicide is selfish to me are people that just don't have enough to empathy to understand why someone would do it.:manny: I get that some people will never understand, because they don't know what it's like to live everyday with severe depression or see it first hand and how it affects people. The same people that think exercise and trying to be positive solves it.:comeon:

At Burns Original BBQ in Acres Homes with Slim Thug.

I enjoyed his show. His death will leave a huge void in the food and travel industry.

His show is what put me on to Burns :wow:

RIP to what seemed like a genuinely good guy
