Also, Booze Traveler (though I haven't watched in a while) is a similar show I'd suggest/recommend. I don't even drink, I watched for the locals and conversations/interactions. Gave me Bourdain vibes, might invoke a similar feeling in you. Give it a shot (no pun).

Nah, dude just had an aura and air about him. Like I don't care about celebrities like that, but I would have been so excited to meet him. I've seen that other show. I don't even know who the host is, and I haven't watched it again lol. He had the personality to really make you watch him go to Russia and want to taste borscht with some old lady in a babushka. There will never be another :yeshrug:.

Action Bronson gonna have to step his game up now. Though their styles and content are somewhat different, I enjoy Parts Unknown and F*ck That's Delicious equally.

I need Action or Eddie Huang to take over the reigns for Bourdain.
Neither have the maturity. Although at least Eddie has a more serious approach. Anthony really brought history in to the equation.

Damn this sucks.. Loved both No Reservation and Parts Unknown. On the low if you've watched plenty of episodes he didn't seem like the happiest person despite his success. He also talked freely of his past drug abuse problem during his younger days. Damn he had one of the best shows ever year in and year out imo:mjcry:

When approximately 70% of America hates him it's statistically likely a few of that 70% will die or commit suicide.
You’re all the rage at parties huh.

Man...Bourdain was a cool fukking dude...this some bullshyt :mjcry:
For anyone even thinking about taking your life...no matter what you've done or how low you've fallen, there's people that give a shyt that can help :wow:

Bourdain was a heroin addict when he was younger - most opiate addicts are folks dealing with serious underlying depression or other mental illnesses (opiates are one of the most effective anti-depressants known to man).

I just wish they'd actually gotten him on some decent meds rather than just him going cold turkey sober.

RIP...this was a good dude the world lost today. :wow:

Damn :rip:

My pops chopped it up with him at an airport in Puerto Rico back 2015. Said he was cool dude
:mjcry:
This is something a lot of people don't understand.

Oftentimes, people with serious depression are the most empathetic you will ever meet.

Because they're already so low internally, they don't put themselves "above" anyone they interact with. And hearing from even random strangers at the airport, waiting for a flight gives them a respite from the awful thoughts percolating through their heads 24/7.

That's why its so shocking to people without experience with depression when a person considered by all to be happy and social and all that shyt takes their life.

Anyways thats a dope story about your pops and Bourdain, breh. He wasn't just a "good dude" for TV. He really lived that way. :salute:

at least not everyone is afraid to be honest and understand what it means to be an enabler, despite having good intentions

facts.

you wowing in approval or disapproval?

this is part of the reason people get depressed in the first place. Way too much judgment and hate in our society. That tweet is disgusting.
stop it. There's nothing hateful or jugdemental in speaking the truth
What's truly disgusting is the learned, robot and disingenious reaction to unassisted suicide

Society judges all the time, thus why most folks won't RIP to a pedo that commits suicide. But are quick to RIP to others that commit unassisted suicide that permanently traumatize their family, friends and other times leaves their spouse drowning in debt

The show gave me the same type of relaxed feeling of someone connecting with others by simple conversation. It's obviously not the same as Bourdain's shows but it also gave me the sense that the host wasn't looking down on people from different backgrounds, at the same time experiencing different cultures and bonding with people who looked different than him.

The host of Booze Traveler has fun, drinking and talking with people but the difference is he's younger and learning at the same time. I still think the show will interest those who seek similar vibes or type shows. I wasn't saying he was just like Bourdain.
