Eh....technically he's right, but the show doesn't always exactly reflect the area. For example the neighbors would've called the cops quick fast on Jesse in season 4, having meth parties and shyt. That's a pretty nice area.
Jack and his crew are where Vince wrote them to be. Even if you know where that is, that don't mean it's supposed to be there in real life. For example, the coordinates where Walt's money was buried, isn't really a location in To'hajiilee. It's the location of the studio where they film the show.
As far as your question, I just got a new computer so I don't have "BB" on hand just yet, but I'm 99% sure Walt said the cops would come to him, maybe in the conversation with Skyler. Re-watch the scene and let me know. If not that scene I could've swore he said something along those lines, meaning he might've called the cops himself.
