I was wrong about this show :ohlawd:
All I had to do was skip the pilot and its been piff ever since.

when the old man hit the burrito on the ground :wow:
When the old man kept hitting the bell
the way Hank got Tuco got at the end was :krs:
I was on edge the whole episode

The pilot is what gets you hooked on the show to begin with. It's also the most important episode since it starts the entire story.

I think people who start watching the show and think people are overrating it are expecting too much from the first episode. The entire show is brilliant but it's downright stupid to expect to get out of the first episode what others have gotten out of multiple seasons. Part of the brilliance of the show is watching how the characters evolve over time and how their relationships change.

Low key it's also one of the funniest shows on TV (though the humor is VERY dark at times). I still chuckle thinking about that fukking pizza.

:whoa: Let's slow down on the overrated talk. People still quote Wire lines to this day. People still refer to the actors by their Wire character names. All the characters on the Wire were likable.

I watched the series for the first time 2 years ago (I had seen some of the 4th season when it was on TV), so I was prepared for season 2. There were plenty of enjoyable moments that season, and it works as a part of the whole. If that one season was the entirety of the series I could understand not liking it.

It was essential in showing how the drug trade was an economic problem rather than a racial problem, and displayed how it bled into different communities.

Half-Mesaure, Full-Measure, Box-Cutter, Face-Off, Grilled, And the Bag's in the River & Dead Freight are the GOAT episodes for me
