There have been many American Jews who have had concerns about the direction Israel was heading. The Israel lobby in the US probably want Bibi reigned in.

I'm pretty sure those two groups aren't the same. The Jews who don't like all this stuff going on in Israel don't really support AIPAC. The problem like most politics here is there is too much money behind AIPAC to get our legislators to stop supporting that apartheid state.
There is an argument to be made about secular Jews in Israel particularly the secular Jews who are protesting now but didn't really think it was a problem when the government was mostly focused on abusing Palestinians.
