Mutations… the original strain is probably not much of a threat anymore. Unfortunately we keep getting mutations. The more mutations we get, the higher the potential to get one that is more transmissible and/or dangerous. Not to mention the lessened severity of symptoms, including long-term, that the vaccines provide.

oh you mean like how a doctor starts a patient on small dosages of a medication and sometimes slowly increases the dosage to make the treatment more effective. doctors do that like every damn day with multiple medications.

So places of business can have fewer employees calling out, and fewer infections among patrons. They don’t want to close, or have more lockdowns, because then nobody gets products, and people can’t work. If you cut down on the infections by lowering the chances, then you can operate more safely.
