One thing I will say… is the Republican playbook is undefeated. A majority of the blame going to the Dems in this thread I see. Not saying they are without fault, but we wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place had America not voted the way they voted. Unfortunately it’s going to be a tough 3 more years.

To expound, its not just medication. A lot of the healthcare system is ran on shoestrings that have deleterious effects one may not initially see.

It's like snap not going out. Its not just people not eating, its:

-more theft
-stores missing out on a whole 10-30%+ of the money they usually get
-orders going down to wholesalers
-etc

The Obamacare subsidies going down means hospital closures, individual practitioners going under due to less clientele, specialists going under without referrals, some insurers are going under/getting gobbled by big guys, everyones policies are going to get more fukked up and possibly force employers to prefer high-deductible plans or terrible HMOs...to lose this fight won't just mean 40 million people getting tossed. Healthcare is going to get incredibly worse incredibly quick in a way that none of us can avoid.

It's easy for me to say because I make good money and am eating just fine (until food shortages), but they can't give this one up and the VERY specific dems who cave if they cave should never hear the end of it...though I fear the ones who care about this issue are smaller than those needing food right now.

Its a completely fukked up situation and as we all pretty much said, folks should have voted for Kamala.

I hear you. It's a messy situation. I'mma have hope that they force the healthcare subsidies to be extended in the coming weeks. The deal is to extend through January, so if Republicans act stupid, Democrats can still close the government then.

They're so irritating. We begged these goofies to vote for the lesser evil. Begged these goofies. But no, Gaza Gaza Gaza.

Now you have one of the most corrupt men you could possibly have in power. I have no patience for these morons. You should have thought about all of this LAST YEAR when we were screaming at people to vote for Kamala. I think ACA credits are more important personally. People will not be able to afford their healthcare costs, doubling or tripling. But I have sympathy for the Dems. They're in a fukked up position. Either they let people starve or they fight for their medication costs. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED!!!!!!!!!!!!! :snoop:
It is more important and it will affect EVERYONE.

I am not on Obama Care… or ACA or whatever the fukk people want to call it. The point that this dumb shyt has multiple names is even confusing to most.

But EVERYONE knows somebody who is on it. My father is retired and sickly. IMO, most of that is his own fault but now guess who has to take care of the bill because his medication is about to skyrocket…

And it will be like this for a lot of people. SNAP is important, but people really don’t comprehend basic shyt over here.

Hard heads making soft asses in real time. Only wish it affected the people who voted/supported this stupidity

What blame are you speaking of?

We are mad they are caving now when they have ALL THE LEVERAGE, not that this happened to begin with.

And it’s unbelievable…

Unbelievable that the average American is this fukking stupid. And STILL this fukking stupid

And they still can’t comprehend that the Dems ALWAYS having to be the responsible party is not for them, it’s for YOU. The fact that the average American can’t hold these Republican pedophiles responsible for all the fukked up shyt that has happened in the past like 70 years, AND refuse to take accountability for their own ignorance, is insane.

No one ever claims “The Dems” or any politician for that matter, are perfect people. You should not vote for perfection, you vote for progress.

WTF has progressed anytime this child fukker has been in office?

That might be the play then. Do a short-term funding bill to get us through the Holiday season.

Then if Republicans act stupid and don't extend the subsidies, close the Government again.

At least then, you won't have people complaining about not having food for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I hope so too.

90 million non voters in the last election 🤦🏾‍♂️ People gonna learn the hard way sitting on the sidelines and choosing to be misinformed and not voting or taking this seriously has consequences. I want to think people are starting to learn whether it’s local, state, or federal level that government affects you in some way but who knows.

I just got a promotion. I thought I was going to enjoy making an extra rack or so. Pay off my car early, have extra savings, and handle my student loans after my car. But nah....nikkas voted for Trump, so the income driven plans are gone, and I gotta start paying in full now :aicmon:

I don’t know what I’d do if I was in a Federal job. Some of them don’t get paid during shutdowns and there’s no back pay. I’d be surprised if they still get people to work there going forward. And yea, my parents are getting up there as well. They can’t afford to pay 2 or 3 times as much for their healthcare costs but imma look for my parents where I can regardless.

Federal workers do get backpay when shutdowns end. It's federal law.

I get that these clowns might try to pull some shyt tho.

The fact Democrats took off starving people and RFD’s for the February round of negotiations is a win. It’s not a sexy win but if you look at this as rounds of negotiations they won this round and are set to win the next one.

This whole thing was a short term bill full of long term poison pills designed to cause republicans political pain if they have to do this again in February.
