Democrats do an awful job at messaging and have allowed the GOP to frame the narrative over this shutdown as "they're trying to give healthcare and SNAP benefits to illegals". And here we go with Trump posting $2000 stimulus check garbage on TruthSocial to get sheep talking about it the rest of the year.

I don't want to hear anything about what Democrats can't do anymore. Trump didn't need 51 or 60 votes to supercharge ICE, claw away SNAP Benefits and remove ACA subsidies. The GOP has spent the past 15+ years planning all of this with precision the moment Obama got in, while top Democrats were just concerned about keeping AIPAC dollars which are now trickling to the right.

This should be a serious wakeup call to anyone in the lower class dependent on government assistance in any form. They really do want anyone who is considered a drain on society exiled in 3rd world poverty.

Speaking of stimulus checks remember when the dems caved to the republicans during the 2020 pandemic and agreed to send $600 checks instead of the $2000 they proposed? Then trump swooped in and positioned himself as the hero by saying $600 is not enough and the people need $2k like it was his idea
