This. While Dems should have held out, the alternative (the votes arent in yet to open the government, they are going for a continuing resolution so a lot can happen) is that they get things back open and stay on TV telling people what is going to happen, Trump stopping snap, Republicans truly showing they were willing to let everything go to hell…they need to do that in unison. Enough damage has been sone that America is in a position to listen. If they don’t go all the way, the leadership is intentionally handcuffing the party.

People forget very quickly so this absolutely needs to be done. They have the momentum & need to execute properly. Similar to Israel a lot of voters are now opening their eyes to how performative politicians are. Social media has made it where you can’t just frame the situation how you want without any pushback. These next few weeks will be very telling. Also I get why they don’t just outright publicly start the attack but I hope the newer/younger Dems are at least making moves behind the scenes. The old guard has to go.
