could have flipped asik last offseason or the past trade deadline for the same player they on they knees begging to come here now.

could have flipped deng and noah for lottery picks and talent and start from scratch
could have kept asik but flipped noah for a player who can fill another hole mainly scoring.
could have traded cj for a 2nd rd pick to get the guards who were still available they were courting, they dont, and now they want to shop cj

cj, brewer and korver equate to 13 mill in unguarantees that another team could have cleared from they books and the bulls make no good use for them.
basically our offseason will consist of signing kirk hinrich, matching omer asik and bringing back korver, and you know we bringing that damn novelty act scalabrine back. maybe they keep JL3. this is our off season. for a team that was supposed to be a contender.

But I'm sure the majority of the teams in the NBA would gladly toss NJ a protected 1st to grab Brooks. So it's not like the Bulls not "helping" this deal matters. THey'll have to deal with Dwight and crew in NJ anyway. They should have been the first team calling trying to get dude. It's not like the Clippers are a trash squad, so that 1st rounder isn't even going to be too high.
