im a native new yorker and generally don't whine about things, but the nyc subway has become nearly unusable post-pandemic.

from the poor service, to all the wild shyt you have to contend with once onboard... (homeless, addicts, panhandlers, crashouts etc) it is a genuinely disgusting experience and by default makes commuting the worst part of my day when I have to use it.

The subway is fine. People use it every day and shyt like this doesn’t happen. You just have to deal with homeless people sleeping on it, some obnoxious person blaring their music, or someone sparking up on it. Any of those things can happen during the week depending on when you board and what line you’re on. But most people just ignore them. That dude did that shyt because no one else was on the car.
