He may not currently have it. That virus is leaving people with permanent organ damage. I've got a friend unvaccinated who caught it, ended up in ICU but recovered. His breathing and speech is still off. The thing that stands out to me is he's was in shape. Not a big guy, largely vegetarian other than some chicken and fish.
