Campaigns look at public polls but their internal polls tend to be more accurate. Clinton and her team waited until the end of the newsday to get this out. The reason being they believe Bernie will win California by a couple of points which is everything he needs to keep going. This was a calculated move by Clinton.
Tomorrow every news publication will run this story of Clinton being over the threshold by SD so even if he wins California her team can say the race was already called.
Also I don't feel sorry for Bernie, he is being so brash and defiant even though he has lost by every measure. He's not a real democrat, he ran a shytty campaign and tried to take the high road with Clinton in the beginning and then tried to get nasty when it was too late. The reason Clinton and some democrats have been bending over backwards for him is because they believe Clinton will need his independents to defeat trump but that's not the case anymore.
Trump is imploding everyday and that race baiting playing up to angry white men wont win him a general, Bernie has to get with the program and he's too full of himself to think he can come and cry foul at every corner, he lost and it's that simple. Also his campaign manager sucks. Hillary is a conniving woman and very flawed but Bernie couldn't take her down because he's not a good politician...
